My Story
I received my Master of Science in Therapeutic Herbalism from Maryland University of Integrative Health (formerly Tai Sophia) in 2015. I am a member of the American Herbalist Guild and United Plant Savers.
My love of plants has been fostered since I was a child. My grandfather was an avid gardener and he helped me cultivate my own "green thumb". An interest in herbal medicine started as a teenager when he started to teach me how they used food as medicine during his childhood. I focused primarily on culinary herbs until I was introduced to Traditional Chinese Medicine, and eventually Western herbs. It is my passion for plants and my curiosity for education and history that informs my practice.
I am a firm believer in finding success in one small change in order to make bigger ones. I also understand that people work at their own pace, and permanent change takes time and patience. My clients and I work together on identifying their health goals and formulating a personalized, holistic plan to help them achieve success. I strive to maintain open dialog and want all my clients to feel comfortable being open and honest with me about what works best for them.
My practice is designed both locally and virtually so that I can work with clients at times and in ways that fit best for their lives.
